Well, ladies, I am shocked but I understand. I love my discus but I don't care too much for the hobby. I love the frontosas and thought seriously about keeping them before I turned to discus. I hope we can keep in touch.
Martha
Marie I wish you all the best in your new adventure, frontosas WOW!!, they are beautiful and have thought about keeping them myself if only I had the room.
I hope you hang around at simply though, you made me feel welcome when I first joined as you do with all new members.
Have fun with your new adventure.
Gonna miss you woman
Marie my friend, I'm with others on this...I think you'll be back. But for now I understanding your decision; raising discus requires a lot of commitment and time if you want to "do it right".
I've come to know you for a few years now. Thank you for your friendship and time we had together. You know you won't be going anywhere as I still know where to find you! Good luck to your Frontosas adventure and I hope you and Amber will have a lot of fun raising, or breeding those together!
May you have a very Happy New Year and don't forget us!

Love Ya Deb!
Not anymore than I will miss you, Jose We became friends fast, yes? I will be around to check on your butt, make no mistake about that, Mr. Discus Hobbiest Challenger!
I think that Simply is more in my blood than the fish ever was or will be Isn't that strange? Besides, I wouldn't want you to miss me too much, Jose!
Not any more worried than I was when my discus eat their eggs
Thank you Nicole! I am glad you felt welcome and look where you are now, woman!
im in shock..but i can understand. i had so many discus..and nothing else for so long..and i used to read our local forum and think..how can they get excited over a plain ole fish.
but..now i have all kinds of fish due to me selling them and ive met a ton of nice fish people with all kinds of fish..and planted tanks..and ive come to appreciate other fish. they are alot less demanding thats for sure..taking me a bit of a time to get used to not overcleaning and overdoing wcs..but im learning. : ) i still have discus..as a matter of fact im getting a shipment in from kenny on thursday. most for sale..some for me..
although..i had frontosas before..they didnt do anything for me. kinda boring..
theres always a south american tank..community tank planted. thats fun..but the fact you only have limited space..you can always try different things at different times.
holy mackerel marie..you have more posts than me..and ive been a mod here since the beginning!!
Well ya better catch up, April! I will miss you.....Oh crap, my eyes are watering...
Wow Its sad to see you go, but I understand...even Jack Wattley gave up discus for frogs.
I wish the both of you all the best and I know you will take the beauty of our hobby with you wherever you go.
ok Marie....I'll admit it.....
I have more PLECO's than discus right now
Hi Marie, sorry to see you giving up on discus (for the moment), but you'll be back later, I am quite sure of that...anyway, have a great frontosa journey. Take care .
Phil.
Man and I'm right here in Sacramento looking for a couple of discus to add to the tank!!! ......enjoy your adventure......I left discus for 10 years and now I'm back!
Hi to both of you. I am relativley new here so I don't know you both like the others do but I can certainly understand where you are coming from. I use to breed Angels on a large scale and when it becomes boring and all work on cleaning and not enjoying the fish anymore it is time to move on.
I did just that and have stayed with just the one tank and have never looked back.
So enjoy your new fish and best of luck to you both....
