Seachem Pond Prime

I have used Pond Prime for the last 2 years and I love it. It is a higher concentration than regular Prime so you don't use as much.

Pond prime is the exact same thing as Prime. Same stuff, same concentration, different application...

I am not sure where you get your information from but Pond Prime is a higher concentration.

Pond Prime = 2 tablespoons treats 600 to 700 gallons of water

Regular Prime = 1 capfull treats 50 gallons of water.

So it would take 12 to 14 capfull of regualr Prime to treat the same amount of water as the 2 Tablespoons of Pond Prime.

So yes pond prime is a higher concentration and you are right they are the same thing when it comes to treating your water.

Scott, be sure to read my post which refers to a link to comment posted direct from Seachem - pond prime is NOT more concentrated, they merely change the recommended dosage relative to the surface area of the volume of water.

To summarize:

- Seachem Pone Prime and Seachem Prime are the 'same'
- Treat your water based on Seachem Prime (5ml per 50 gal)

I have always used Prime , buy it in the gallon size. I heard that the pond Prime is less expensive. Where can I find a listing for pond Prime ?

I can only find PP in 2L jugs. I'm not sure if this is more expensive than 1 gallon of prime. Here's a link to F&S

jeep, thank you. I though that the pond prime was a lot less expensive . I was wrong . at BigAlsOnline four liters are $52.16 for the regular Prime .
