Ya, I really love tetras and discus, and dont care to much for cats.
The fish I have in there right know are:
8 gold tetras
2 blue rams
1 guppy...and babies
3 corys.

So from there whats my next step. Should I get the 5 discus and be done? Or would I be able to grab some cardinals? I dont want to overstock but love tetras.

Don't see why you couldn't get some cardinals. Be sure to QT any new fish for your Discus tank. I don't know how guppies would fair at Discus temps. My guess is they probably should go.

pretty good guess Jose, guppies will have very short lives at discus temps, they do much better in the lower mid 70's Fahrenheit.

Angels will snack on your cardinals.

And so will some discus.....mine did. 12 cardinals....one day.....none the next:mad

Just a comment on the 3-4 BN plecos in a 55.

I have a 55 with 6 angels, corys, lemon tetra, cherry barbs and BN Plecos and I can tell you that 2 will probably be enough in a 55 once they are grown. They really are poop machines!
