    Default White Worms ok??

    i was thinking about doing red wigglers and white worm cultures but i wanted to know anyones thoughts on them first. And does anyone know how to culture the red wigglers, im kinda new at these things.

    I culture the white worms, great food for the discus and easy to do.

    Because of the high fat content, whiteworms are excellant conditioning food for female breeders. Fat is essential in egg production. But, because of the high fat content, whiteworms should not be fed as a staple.

    Any worm supplier ought to send culturing instructions with the purchase. Instructions can also be googled.

    Mat, what live worms would you use as a staple food for discus ?

    I would use red wigglers as a staple. I don't know why I don't.

    Thanks for the response. I tried culturing Grindal worms for the youngsters but got tired of it. Maybe is time to try the culturing again .
