I'm not sure what the diff is...but I do have a female a silver pigeon that I'd sell if you were interested...pm for further details.
take care,
brat
The only difference I know of is the country of origin, both white, both pigeons.
The Silvers were once known as Blue Pigeons in Germany but the name Silver was attached to the ones who lose their striations as the mature.
My Silver Pigeons are over 7 inches tip to tip, not sure if the Asian strain gets as huge.
The WB I have seen are about 5 inches tip to tip and extremely peppery.

Lee
moik,
The pair in the second picture looks fantastic...where did you get those?
Moik, I hope you still have that pair of white butterflies and I do wish you'd raise some babies soon !!! :0) David
Wow nice pair you have and very clean. Hope you get fry soon.

Moik,
If you put the same fish from the first pic( dark gravel tank) in the one with the light blue BB tank, you would see similar results as far as the pepper. They would clean up.
Like I said, my experience with the WB is peppery small fish. Maybe they were second generation. Percentage of "clean" in a spawn is probably around 10 to 15%.
Look at my avitar and you will see a Blue Pigeon/Silver without any pepper.
Also, a pic can make any fish look good or bad. Your first pic brings out the worst of the Silver Pigeon IMO. Anytime you put discus with pigeon base in a dark gravel/dark walled tank you will bring out the worst in the fish. Most discus hobbyist with experience with the pigeons are fully aware of this.
I knew a guy with WB and asked me not to take any photos since they were all peppered up(they were even in a light blue tank).
Out of the 20 I observed at 2.5 inch or smaller size, almost all were extremely peppered culls.
I also witnessed a pair of WB spawning at 4 inches.
Not to say there are exceptions like the WB in your pic #2. Maybe Jit Seng fish.

Lee

Moik,
I can appreciate the comments from *EXPERIENCED* WB and Blue/Silver Pigeon keepers> without a Hidden negative agenda.

Lee
