Default Do you feed Live Brine Shrimp?

How many here actually hatch and feed brine shrimp?

I am just wondering if I should look into this?

Shipping live and/or frozen foods seems very expensive. I think you would need to buy several months worth to make it worth it.

I can get frozen brine shrimp at the LFS but I have never heard of the brand...are there risks with certain brands?

I feed my discus live brine shrimp every day, they just love 'em. But l am lucky that there are a few shops within 15 minutes drive that l can purchase them from. I have thought about hatching them myself, but really do not want to devote any time to it. I don't think that it would be difficult to set up if you wanted to.
    We're here for a good time...not a long time

Do you hatch your own? Is there a quality hatchery product you would recommend?

I live in a very rural area so it is not really cost effective even for me to drive somewhere to get frozen stuff. Overnight shipping on a small box is cheaper than a tank of gas.

If live brine shrimp is healthy for them then I am willing to go the extra mile so to speak.

I suppose I could order live foods too, I was just thinking in the long run this might be more cost effective.

I just hatched out BBS to feed my pygmy sunfish. I took a netful and dumped into my fishless SW tank we'll see what happens
