Most "kids" working @ LFS have little or no experiance.
(including some adults)

I often see customers walking out of the LFS with:
Combinations of fish for a community tank that are NOT compatable.

In the sense that, the OSCAR in the bunch:
(insert green terror, jack dempsey, or whatever)
Will ...sooner than later......EAT all the others.

Most often I have to GRIT my teeth & keep my mouth shut.
In most LFS's.

I thought I'd add my favorite remark from LFS(In reference to discus).
I commented that I'm doing daily W/C's of 40%.
The college age kid stated(after looking @ me like I was an )-" That's OK, if you got nothing better to do!"
After seeing how fast nitrates climb with multiple feedings in my discus tank, I'm glad I get my info here & not @ LFS!
I'll keep changing water here!

I've never heard of a green Heckle. I've heard of Heckels and blue faced Heckels. The BF Heckels lose their "blue" face after being in captivity for awhile. It is believed diet or mineral content in the area they exist causes the blue face.
