It should be fine, I would treat the wild's with metro to eliminate any internal parasites they may have become accustomed to.
I have about 15 captively bred discus in a 175g tank. I want to add 4 tefe green discus from fishfarmusa on aquabid. If I quarantine the wild's, will they be okay in the tank? More importantly, will the current occupants be okay with the additions?

thanks dirtyblacksocks.
Might also want to do a formalin dip in case of gill flukes - I know wild caughts are a lot more resistant to parasites then domestics.
I added two wilds to my tank in January. I did not treat the wilds with med because they had no issues. Everything is fine with my fish. Just because they are wilds doesn't mean they have to be treated with meds.

You might say differently had those wilds introduced somthing to the tank and killed your domestics...
I agree, but the fish were fine. No gill flukes, no internal parasites. They were healthy looking fish who were in Q for long time with no medicine treatments. What I am saying is that you don't necessarily have to dip them and treat them with meds just because they are wilds.

I agree. Just trying to be thorough in telling some one how to go about it. The way I was taught, from wild importers, is that it's important to perform formalin dips and treat liberally with metro to ensure they're parasite free before distributing them.
quarantine is just for those reasons. I do a preventive dose of prazipro for all the new fish i get, then treat if any symptoms show up in course of the next 6 weeks.
most wilds tend to already have been dipped and trested for parasites as a precation. i think in some places its even a mandatory thing that has to be done.
