    Default Rowaphos?

    opinions?

I know that it's basically iron that removes most phosphate and silicate. It seems to get great reviews. What your opinion on how the iron itself may affect water quality?

rowaphos is a resin that bonds the phosphate. Not aware of it containing iron. It does work and once used up does not dump back into the tank. It is expensive though.

It works great. Wont effect anything regarding water quality other than removing phosphates. I prefer to use it in a canister type filter....or similar so long as water is forced through it. It is the best and isnt the cheapest but it definetly works well.
