    Default lemon tetra?

I purchased a few lemon tetras to help cycle a tank. They have made it through the cycle period and I'm wondering if the will be ok with discus?

I've heard some Tetras can nip at the fins of other fish.

Lemon tetra should be fine but do better in a school of 6 or more. Depending on tank size and the discus you plan to have, your tank may not be capable of adding a higher fish load all at once. A few tetras are not going to give you a great deal of bio on your media. You may see another cycle when adding larger fish. Keep up the water changes and pay attention to ammonia and nitrite levels. You want them to be as close to 0 as possible.
