what is the best filter( canister, wet/dry.... ) and what should be place in it (a/c, Ammonia Remover)?

you will find many differing views and opinions on this. There are good arguments for most types of filtration, some Asian breeders do not even use filters!

imo sumps are hard to beat, but there are times when a sponge filter is ideal e.g. qt/hosp tank, and sometimes when a cannister is the best option, e.g. no room for a sump and need a quiet efficient filter.

In any filter that takes media use as much bio media as you can fit in there. No real need to use carbon or other adsorptive media ime. Using some floss to mechanically clean the water makes sense too!
