    Default 6th June - 25 Weeks

Well it's been 25 weeks since recieving the challenge fish here, and l must say the remaining two fish are doing well.
The dynamics are changing slighlty in the discus community tank with two of my other discus deciding to pair up and lay eggs. This has caused lots of territory issues, and lots of chasing amongst the plants. Off coarse the eggs only lasted a few days before being eaten.
Back to the challenge fish....They are feeding very well with daily offerings of Live Black Worms, frozen Blood Worms, Frozen Brine shrimp, Tetra Colour Bits, Flakes, Etc..... Every thing that goes in gets eaten.
Two 50% waterchanges per week are still maintained....and l must say that l am extremly happy with the whole outlook on the tank so far.

I may have to have a go at successfully raising some discus fry soon.......that'll be my next challenge.

    Thanks for the comments.

I did notice that there were two different colourations in my batch of 8 discus.
I am left now with one of each of the two differant colours.
As far as l know they have come from the same batch of Royal Blue fry,
so as far as l know they are not wilds.
But l have to agree that the discus in the second and last picture looks like a wild.
I have also noticed from a very young age that this discus has a forked bar.
Any comments about this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Joe,
mate you have done a great job with them. they are from royal blue parent's which do have wild blood from a few generations ago.

    cheers

Well, Joe, you may only have two left but they definitely look sweet in my book. Keep it up, Bud. Maybe if your lucky they'll be male and female.
