This statement confuses me, either the pair is curipera x, or they are a cross with a curipera x and a leopard snake intermediate. Which is it?I have a pair of curipera x brother, sister and their father is a leopard snake intermidiate,

Hi Rick the parents of these fry are a cross from a curipera x and a leopard snake skin intermediate albino
These are the parents of the fry

That changes everything, the parents are not pure curipera x as purchased from Kenny. Yes, albino fry is indeed a possibility (obviously) then. You had stated that your albino fry (in another thread) came from curipera x (which is not an entirely accurate statement).Hi Rick the parents of these fry are a cross from a curipera x and a leopard snake skin intermediate albino

Hi, am new to this forum but jumping right in with an urgent question: What should/would I expect from a cross between an Albino Blue Diamond and a Leopard Snakeskin? I've had the ABD for almost a year, but recently acquired the LSS, they paired off really quickly (probably because the tank water is rather soft and we have warm temperatures from where I'm from - Singapore), and I've noticed eggs at a corner of the tank. Curious to get some opinions here from experienced owners and possibly, breeders. Not sure what to expect given the rather complicated genetics involved.
Thanks!
The genetics of this cross really are not that complicated. You would get the same offspring as you would if you were to cross a blue diamond with a blue snakeskin, with a little variation in pattern that is hard to predict.
None of the offspring will be albino (unless from some reason the leopard has a hidden recessive albino gene).
I would suspect you to get cobalts, blue SS, scorpions, and blue turqs.

yes, 50% of the fry from that cross would be albino's. As how many of them would be ABD's little harder to say. Thanks - the eggs just hatched! I understand there will probably not be any albinos, but what if I were to cross the offspring with its albino parent? Would that possibly produce ABDs?

Both these discus come from Stendkler ( Hans ) in EU ..
Bump!
2 regular looking Turks had fry which have checkerboard patterns... Is the checkerboard pattern recessive then?
When your significant other dresses up as a giant twitching discus just to get your attention... You've gone too far.
