For medicated food I use 250mg per 100grams of food.
Hi,
Most of the posts that I've seen regarding metro dosage state that 250mg/100 gr of BH is the way to go. However, in this article (http://www.simplydiscus.com/library/...itiasis2.shtml) a dosage of 1000 mg/100 gr of food is proposed...
What dosage is everyone using??
Thanks and regards,
NCR

Comfortably numb.
Will soaking Bloodworms in a metro solution for an hour or so be effective at getting the metro into the fish ?
I have a fish that refuses to eat anything but bloodworms ( and I suspect Hex ) so mixing the metro into by BH mix did not work.

Edward J. Noga, in "Fish Disease - Diagnosis and Treatment", propose 3 options:
- 25 mg metro/Kg of body weight/day for 5 to 10 days. Retreatment if needed;
- 100 mg metro/kg of body weight for 3 days;
- soak BS in a 1% metro solution in a refrigerator for 3 hours and feed once.
Getting more and more confused
I've always used 1gram metro to 100grams of food (BH).
You can sprinkle it, like seasoning meat, over BW's and let soak for a while in the fridge too.
Hi Francis,
I use it for ten days in food when I suspect internal flagilates(sp?),when appitite slows down or they have symptoms of hex.
