    Because this "half moon" discus strain looks a lot like the half-black angelfish strain...

    this one also looks a bit like those blue diamonds on that dallas site...
    I've seen other types of fish that have black in one area like this before that was caused by nerve damage.

    My LFS has a 1 1/2 inch little orange guy thats 80% or more covered in heavy peppering. im also 99% sure its a runt.
