They appear to have some minor striations on the face abd dorsal area. Mine (also from Dan) don't have that. I wonder if they are from the same batch.

This is the auction of the discus.

Dan shows the picture of the parent. They turned out a lot more red than I thought they would. This was my first attempt of grow out and thanks to Dan and his nice home bred, it was a wonderful experience.

    Vlam,

You have done a great job raising those fish. As architect1 and Moon mentioned they are not pure Red Melons but rather a cross between a Red Melon and a Albino White Eruption Female that I got from Wayne Ng via Kenny. Some of the fish were White based while others were more like PB based fish. Vlam your fish were the the PB based fish...

Thanks for all the kind comments...I should be around more now that my work situation is back to normal.

    Thanks everyone.

Dan: Thanks for the clarification. I know very little when it comes to breeding and crossing the genes. Out of the six, 5 has the striations in the face, body. There is one odd ball that is solid red with no striation and almost a yellow face.

The ones with striations are turning again and some are now developing big white spot around the belly. It had been so much fun watching them grow and changed over the last 9 months.
