Look forward to the reno pics.

Hi All,
I have had my stand in the shed for some time now
and even though it worked ok , i have decided to renovate
and improve on the system. I have been thinking of doing a complete
new room from scratch , but decided to go with what i have and
see what i can do. So the first step i spose is to start this post to
motivate me to keep going.
I will post some pics tonight of the stand as it was set up & also what
i have done to date.
Thanks for looking.
Regards,
Look forward to the reno pics.

I don't think I will ever tire of seeing a fish room being worked on. Please keep us posted.
Daniel - If I had a swimming pool, it would probably end up as a fish tank.
ok,
Here is what i had set up.
3 tier (too high for me up & down on ladders)
Will drop bottom row out.
Disconnected air & water lines and move stand up against
wall of shed. I have posted these pics on a pevious post but it shows
best the way the stand was.
Will take some more tommorrow of the progress i have made.
Thanks for looking.
ok well here we go...
First pic is the stand stripped & repositoned in the shed, done this a few months ago. second pics is the pipes for water & air cut up ready to reuse.
& third pic is 2 of my 4 foot tanks stripped of floor bulk heads & ready to drill for new rear wall bulkheads. These 2 tanks will be painted externally and will have a divider placed centrally so i will have 4 breeding cubes.
A little progress this week end , could only spare a few hours.
Thanks for looking.
Little less posting and more work in the fishroom would be good Ben ! looking forward to watching it change.

Ha Ha Darren, its your fault mate, you got me on this site in the first place.
Since my last post the little spare time i have had has been spent stripping down old tanks and fittings to be reused and preparing the breeding tanks.
Heres a couple of pics of the progress. Have the electrician & plumber coming to do some work over the next few weeks, so fingers crossed things should start moving abit quicker. Thanks for looking
Looking good so far, keep up the great work.

We're here for a good time...not a long time
Looking good Ben
I love seeing the differences in setups people have. That is what keeps the hobby strong.
Hope all goes well for you, my fellow country-men

Hi everyone,
Thanks for the comments, Progress has been slower than i had hoped.
Some is better than none. Have some tanks completed ready to hook up to
water & drainage.
Regards,
Coming along nicely Ben.

Thanks Darren. As you can see i have used your plumbing ideas.
The pics below show a close up of the bulkhead at the rear of the tank.
I have been worried about any black inside the tank that could attract any fry. So the second pic is my idea of a cover. This is just a prototype, i am going to replace the grey cap with a white cap as soon as i get to the Hardware shop. There is enough room for cleaning between the cap and tank surround.
What do you guys think ? am i going overboard ?
Look forward to your opinions.
Kind Regards,
