That is one big shed (fish room). These latest pictures with the shelves coming out from the walls - are the original racks in the same room?
Cheers

Darren,
Thanks mate, got a few deck chairs and esky ready.
Hi Robyn,
Thanks for your comments, the shelves are for future tanks & brine shrimp hatcheries. the stand goes up against the wall. see pic attached.
I Have got the renovated stand back in and tanks painted and finished.
Just hooking up the drains & water over the next few days, so close now, am nearly wetting my pants with anticipation.
Hi Ben
Been reading your thread very exciting business! Tell me what did you partition your tank off with so they cannot see each other? I have a 6footer I want to divide 2ft / 4ft and always leave the 2ft end setup and ready as QT or breeder if I am ever luck! lol
Cheers Kath
Hey Ben,
The room's looking really good mate. Been watching this thread for a while now and it's excellant seeing the room take shape. You're doing an awesome job. I look forward to maybe trading some fish with you in the future, as we're both in T'ville in sure our paths will cross at some point!
Best for now
Keith
The two best times to fish are when its raining and when it's not.
Hi Eddie,
Thanks mate, i cant wait either, but patience is the key.
Hi Kath,
Thanks for the comments. I have used 10mm white perspex to divide the 4 footers. In a 6 footer you might want to go a bit thicker to be safe & brace the top as well. I would advise having a QT totally separate from your other tanks, but i could see it a good idea for a breeder.
Hi Keith,
Thanks mate, happy to hear you like it. For sure other simply members are always welcome to pop over for a chat about fish. It gives me wife a rest from hearing about it all the time
Ben,
stand and tanks look great mate ! we are starting to get a few Townsville members, soon we will be able to have our own club meetings ! Maybe we could even get Discus jackets !(if our partners let us)
cheers

Thanks Darren,
you laugh Darren, my wife made a joke along those lines to me the other day.
started the cogs turning over though. A Barbe , beers , rum & Discus ! Man does it get any better ? lol.
I don't live in Townsville, but my hubby bought me a pair of discus earrings. Will that give me membership rights?Maybe we could even get Discus jackets !(if our partners let us)Kath, I agree with Ben this could work for a breeder, but not a QT.I have a 6footer I want to divide 2ft / 4ft and always leave the 2ft end setup and ready as QT or breeder if I am ever luck! lol
One of my tanks used to have a glass divider to keep separate two pairs of apistogrammas. I could drain both halves of the tank, by putting my gravel vac in one side only. Same for refilling the tank. Unless you can make each side water tight, neither side could be a QT.
Ben, you are really looking super organised. I must remind myself to never, never, never post pictures of my fish racks in the garage.
Cheers
Robyn
Really want it water tight, so will go with thicker perspex and silicon it right around including the top I can move it more one way to reach the top support across the top at one end I think. Cheers

Robyn,
I think it's a boys only club sorry !

Oh ok, alright I will give way to the experts and keep my 2.5footer as a QT.
