Microscopes

All,

I was looking into aquiring a microscope and was wondering what type of magnification level I will need to spot organisims. Any Ideas?

I bought a Labomed CXE for abought $200. I'm not the expert but from what I have read most common parasites can be identified from 20 to 400 magnification. Bacteria requires 1000+ and some special microscope skills.
Usualy the eye peice is 10X and the objectives are 4, 10 and 40. Some have room for 4 objectives, some only 2.
Don't buy the $50 to $100 scopes, they are mostly toys. ( unless you buy a used one, there are some good bargains on used scopes from schools)
