I use one tblsp per 10gals and reguler wc's will remove it. It will usually work within a few hours though if it's gonna work at all.

i've been searching all over the internet and different things for the dosage of an epsom salt dip keep turning up. what is the true amount of epsom salt per gallon that i should use to treat constipation? and how long should i leave the fish in the bath?

I use the same as kacey...Duration of bath...24 hours or less..usually works in a few hours.

I agree I used this dosage on advice Al gave someone else on the forum and my discus were cleared up with in a couple of hours. Worked like a charm.

thanks everyone, i feel a lot more confident now. i will add 1 tbls per 10 gallons and do a water change 24 hours later. i think i'm going to do the same for my betta too. i think bettas are prone to constipation :P

A comment. I do a cup for a 112 gallons. is that bad? I have always done it that way and never had an issue normally my discus gets back up to proper position. I never did the water change after the 24 hours.
