they like pro crisp from tetra, but DR. foster does not sell it.
Tetra min tropical crisp
Tetra color bits
New life spectrum discus formula
Hikari discus bio gold
Sera discus ( granuals, red, blue)
Ocean nutrition cichlid omni
Ocean nutrition formula one
Omega one cichlid
Omega one super color
If we could only feed our discus with one dry food which would it be? The one we think our discus will get the most nutrition from AND they will take.
Let me know if I missed some dry food that we use. I will try to add it to the poll.

I can't make up my mind with the Sera, the New Life spectrum Discus or the Omega One super color flakes....I have all three, and they all look good and my discus love them all. But if I were to choose only one to go with Al's Magic Beef heart, , I'd go with the Omega One flakes. Pellets worry me. mike
None of those, Ocean Nutrition Prime Reef beats every single one of those hands down!

Hikari and New Life Spectrum work best for me. In third is tetra color bits.
I try to avoid Sera foods because I think they dissolve too fast and do not retain their shape very well in water.
I'm thinking I should try Ocean Nutrition since everyone speaks so highly of them...but I do not like using flakes (I think it's too messy).

Quick question for Eddie(basshead). Why prime reef? why not ON Discus Formula?

Ocean nutriton cichlid flake. But... If I could only use one, I would stop caring for Discus and raise crawdads.
Hands down the most complete from my experience is NLS.. Would also feed tetra colorbits as a back up.. Sue
Hey there. I recently added Hikari Bio Gold and my Alencer Red had a bright red color come out of nowhere. I am going to try out the Ocean Nutrition Prime Reef though. Sounds good.
