FOUND Levamisole bolus!!!!!

I finally found a place that sells this all-around excellent de-wormer in the form of a pill that can be crushed and mixed into the Discus tank. The following is the link directly to the product, and the company is "Sheepman Supply Co" in Maryland. The phone number is at the bottom of the page...I have confirmed that they have it, and I ordered a bottle myself. It is in a "bolus" form, which means a big pill/tablet. The reason we had such a hard time finding this is that it is being sold under a trade name called "Tramisol". The bottle has 24 pills, and shipping is another $10. I plan on using it once a year to de-worm my discus altogether. I think as Al stated...one big yellow pill per 20 gallon thank...doesnt hurt the bio-filter, obviously. Best, Finally found it! Mike

Google "Pigeon supplies". There is a web-site called "Foys Pet Supply" Look under product catalog and see at bottom of list says "Wormers".There are sereval different kinds . Plus if you Google Pigeon Supplies, there are several web-sites that also provide pigeon supplies. I just Googled it to make sure of what I am stating here. Please look around the sites also for any antibiotics and etc. for any other meds. too. Look under vitakingproducts.com. They have Levamisole powder (tramisol) .71 oz for $18.00 plus shipping. Just called to make sure they had it. Sorry Mikel to jump on your thread.

I checked out that site and it's under 'wormer'. It's a powder form and it's cheaper by weight than the pills that the first place has. I would order from this instead if I had not already ordered. In any case, now we have good sources for this great de-wormer! mike

I know I am a little late with this info.but hopefully it helps. Look through the whole web-site ,there is alot of good medications they have that may good in the disucs hobby also. Seems like the pricing is practical. They also have Metronidazole there also. (hope I spelled that right) In alot of animal based hobbies, we are always using meds that are intended for some other kind of animal purpose. Hope it helps.

2mg would be .002g if that helps at all. i wouldn't know how to measure that though
