Hi there Kristin,
Sounds like a case of hexamita. Do you have any metrodizanole on hand? Do you have a quarantine tank available to put him in?
Thanks
Eddie

Could be hex. What are the water parameters, ie temp,ph. What are you currently feeding your discus?
Ed
The 30 gallon would be fine, a 10 is better. How big is the main tank he is in now? How many other discus are in the tank? Do the others have any symptoms? Do you have a filter for the quarantine tank?
Sorry, lots of Qs
People have had success with Parasite Clear, yes. You could use it if thats all you have.
Eddie
I have four discus in an eighty gallon tank 6.8ph at 84 deg. and two of the fish are showing the symptoms.
Wish I could swim with the fishes!!!
what all do i need to test for in the tank, i only watch the ph and the temp.
oh, we feed them frozen brine shrimp, blood worms, and flakes.
Wish I could swim with the fishes!!!
Parameters sound good. Any white stringy poo?
yes, the bowels are long, stringy and clear!
Wish I could swim with the fishes!!!
Sounds like some sort of gut irratation to me. How long have you had the fish?
I kind of asking to find out the cause so that you dont have these problems later on
the two that are sick we have had for about 7mo.
Wish I could swim with the fishes!!!
And the other two?
Kristin,
Does the poo look like the pictures in this?
