    Default 80 gallon filtration question

right now i currently have a fluval 304 and a ac500 on my 80 gallon but to me it seems like there is alot of current in the tank with the 500. Would it be possible to swap out the ac500 and put in a new sponge filter and just leave the 304 as is or would this be to little of filtration.Right now there is currently 4 small discus and a bunch of tetras?

    thanks

I have two Fluval 304's on my 90g, and another one on a smaller tank I use for QT. It works out well when a part goes bad (just recently the snap-in holder for the impeller shaft broke, but I had another filter to use as spare parts until I got the replacement part in the mail). Just an idea.
