Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there an Arowana that's said to bring good luck or something?

Good and bad luck. Not good luck if you have one die on you. Flowerhorn or LouHan is another popular fish that could get quite expensive.Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there an Arowana that's said to bring good luck or something?
Exotic fish is going to be as much as someone willing to pay for them.

Whoa, at first I was going to say how impressive that platinum arowana was until I saw the second video and realized how much smaller he is than I originally thought...
Still nice looking though... Wonder if there were anymore in that batch of fry?

If I am not mistaken, when Lo Wing Yat first developed the Blue Diamond...it was $350.00 per 1" fish...Later a pair of them sold at auction for $10,000...Bill

Many for the 10k range and the one near the bottom is currently at 46k and buy it now for 50k.

Yup asian arwarna is the most expensive fish cause it take 7 yrs to be ready for breading and you need a lot of space. Specialy the super red arowarna from Kalimantan. The adult (75cm) price almost the same price with Honda fit.

Well, if you stay away from the "show stuff" (individual fish purchased at ridiculously high prices by collectors or breeders) and stick with it just on a species to species basis, I've seen Clarion Angels go for over $6,000 in my LFS. Gemmatum Tangs are usually up there too, over $3,000. And, of course, deepwater species like Peppermint Angels can go for well over $10,000.
Holey cow! Those are beautiful fish though... especially that peppermint angel. Are they that expensive because of their rarity or beauty?
