    Default Check This out!!!

    Hello All,
My names Trevor and I would like to share this with you...Thursday, feb 5th 2009, around 2:00 pm i was getting into the crane (at work) to start it and i slipped and broke my humerus bone (shoulder to elbow) in 2 places. wierdest part is it broke in mid air (spiral fracture) and i landed on my feet! So now im laid up on the couch for 3+ months...i went to the specialist last tuesday and they took more x-rays to see how its setting, stupid part is they won't just pin it because of the 3 pieces and the major nerve that runs down ur arm to ur hand... soooo hahaha check this out!!!

Anything to do with the shoulder SUCKS!
You will be amazed how well your other arm adapts at doing things and what you can do with one arm. Might take a while but most find out they can do lot more then they thought by figuring out how to do things differently.

You're lucky. A spiral fracture like that can sometimes sever an artery and cause serious problems...

I once x-rayed a woman that had injured herself 3 months prior before coming to me and she had a spiral fracture like this. Amazes me that she went that long in pain before actually coming to see a doctor. I would imagine recovery was rough on her since the fracture had already started to calcify.

Other than that I haven't seen one since. What are they doing for you?

Your right I am very lucky, as far as what they are doing for me well its not much...they have me in something called a "sugartong"(sp?) its basically a temporary cast/splint and they are just letting gravity take over, i have 2 more apps with the specialist before they take this off in march and fit me with some sort of brace thingy? it sucks so much especially cause im now off of work and money is going to be tight and all I wanted was to get some new stock from one of our sponsors lol. oh but I did order a case of that Manzanita wood last week from a really great guy in Canada here so thats exciting! I seen your pics and i had to make some phone calls lol. hope to see some new pics soon of your tank Renee
