Re-establishing sponge filters.

Hello all. I was wondering if any of you had any insight into my question. On my larger tanks I have 3 hydro sponge filters #4. I just ordered replacement sponges pro models to replace the older saggy ones and was wondering if I switched out one at a time how long it would take for the new one to become established enough to replace another one. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

i think its more like 6-8 weeks which is how long a bacteria colony takes to get established. as far as replacimg them i am not too sure of. if it were id take out two at a time and replace that way

for some reaaon i thought you were replacing 6, sry. one by one is fine i believe
