Default Three adult discus, $100 (Seattle Area)

Just to ensure these fish don't get lost in my quest to sell the whole setup, please note that I am willing to sell my three adult discus for $100 (to SimplyDiscus participants). To be honest, I don't recall specifically what they are but believe they are a red ribbon pigeon, a cobolt and "another one". Two of the three (apart from the red ribbon) are full grown adults and I have had them for over two years, without any problems. The red ribbon has been smaller than the other two all his life and has clouding in one eye (which hasn't disturbed him - he's been this way for well over a year). The "other one" (see the picture I posted) previously bred with with a female I had.

I paid $240 for these fish combined, when they were much smaller.

I don't want to split the equipment in general but I do have a couple of 20 gallon (I think) tanks and I'll let the two of those go together for $25.

Reply to me direct here if you are interested or use the Craigslist post but please mention you are from SimplyDiscus (the price I am asking here is $125 less than that I am asking from the "general population").

    Thanks.

So, it looks like I have a buyer for the tank and equipmnent (although it's still technically available - we're not locking on the deal till this weekend at the earliest). But he's not wanting the three adult discus I have. Which is a bit of a blocker.

I am really reluctant to let my discus just to the local pet store, for fear of who might buy them and what treatment they might receive. Does anyone have any opinions on http://www.aquabid.com? I don't necessarily want to go down this path but I'd really like to get my beautiful fish into the hands of someone who knows about discus so I'm open to any suggestions.

    Thanks.

Thanks. I will see if I can get some better pictures (not a particular skill of mine :-() but regretfully I would not be eager to ship, since I have no experience of this and I'd be concerned about the safety of the fish.

    Thanks.

Mark. I had you mixed up with the Mark in Lynnwood. I now remember you.
I brought a tank over to you off of Woodinville Duvall RD by Cottage Lake.

If you have to, put the discus into the 20 gallon tank.

Keep up on wc's you be fine till you sell them.

Have to be patient with Craigs list I have found out.
Sometimes KABOOM sale made and other times it's weeks.
If you go Aqua bid more then likely you have to ship them.

Another option is to sell them at http://www.gsas.org/

Scroll down to find out the auction person to email for time and date in April.
A % of your money received goes to GSAS but this way someone with fish experience is buying them and you are helping out hobbyist.

    Hi Greg,

Yes, that would be me. I remember your kindness very well...

Good idea about the smaller tank. That would allow me to at least isolate the sale of the tank and it's related equipment from the fish themselves. All I'd need is a heater and regular water changes.

Thank you for the suggestions and I hope all is well.
