If there is anybody in Asia wanting to participate, I would like to take part! Maybe we can talk Forrest into supplying the fish.
Eddie
Hi Al,
I would be very interested in the Aussie side of the challenge this year, if you can get the numbers together. I watched Joe's threads last year and would love to take part. Thanks to Darren for the heads up on this thread & also for his generous offer again this year. Its sponsors like you mate that help make simply the best forum on the net.
Kind Regards,

I'd also love to participate in the Aussie challenge if there are enough spaces/fish going. Cheers as always Darren for generously donating your fish!

The two best times to fish are when its raining and when it's not.
Great Guys... Looks like we have at least 3 potentials lined up for the Aussie challenge Darren.... Ben and Keith, drop me a Pm with a little info on why you want in on this and how you will go about raising them.. also include a bit about yourselves and your experience level....Lastly...start practicing on the Photo skills.... This contest is going to be photo intensive!

Eddie,
Interesting that there aren't more Japanese interested in this site. When I was in Japan, I don't recall seeing any discus, but then again I wasn't looking. I guess they like to eat fish more than keep them to look at. LOL!
I'm sure you know this, but Forrest is not in Japan. How much did it cost you to fly fish in from him? I know that normal domestic here in the US is about $90. There is a Stendker distributor in Tokyo. Maybe you could solicit them to supply the challenge discus. Just a closer option.
Best wishes!

They are free (thanks Darren for being so generous as to give the Aussies a chance here too.) But that makes the responsibility rest ever so more firmly on the shoulders of the lucky selected challenge participants, to follow through with the commitment that comes with taking the juveniles.
Great initiative SD ! ! !

Yeah Chad, I am sure we can touch on the subject in a separate thread. This one is for the the hobbyist contest.
But if you haven't seen it, on the left underneath the username, it usually has the persons location. Although that may not always be true. I have spoken to Forrest on the phone and the country code kind of gave it away. LOL.
Eddie
I am very excited about the contest. Look forward to learning a lot.

.....I'm up for it Brew, or down with it, sign me up for your Aussie challenge.....
