Am I the only one doing this??? this is my 60 gal quarantine/welcome tank for new fish. Not pretty, just practical. In order to increase the biological filtration capacity I removed the outflow pipe from the corner overflow, inserted a strainer in the bulkhead and filled the area with bioballs. In order to distribute the water evenly, I used silicon airline tubing squeezed in the overflow grill slots and simply direct the streams to any spot I want. This is a lot easier than trying to make a customized drip tray on such a tight area. As a result, there is not one single dry spot amongst the bioballs. Of course, I use pre-filter material over the balls....
