Thanks Eddie Your sister is the first person whom I know of other than me to have this name. It is definitely a super awesome name.

BTW, do white butterflies originate from pigeon blood? If they do, doesn't that mean they'll have black peppering? Why are all the pictures I've seen so far on the forum from Forest's fish so clean and beautiful?

Yeah, there aren't too many Athenas out there. White Butterflies are pigeon based but they have been cleaned up over the years. Forrest has some of, if not, THE cleanest White Butterfly on the market today.

Thanks for this thread! I'm just starting on discus and am overwhelmed by all the different varieties. Pictures really help pinpoint those that catch my eye.

any in particular that caught your eye? what is your budget? how many do you plan on getting? what will they go into? do you care what size? do you plan on buying from a fellow sponsor? these questions will let you get closer to a decision.

It does the same things as a HOB filter, has a mechanical/bio-filter area, chemical chamber etc. It just sits on top of the tank instead of hanging on the back.

its very hard to go off names by pics, alot of people dont know what looks like what?
i personaly would invest in the book trophy discus that shows you the real deal of varients not some amature
