Default Keep hands out of tank!

The contest fish have been with me for one week now and everything is looking perfect. My water ph 7.0 and temp is 87 deg. I am doing 80% w/c every morning and siphoning any leftovers out when I see them, which is not too often. I have no problems with ammonia, nitrites or nitrates due to my w/c. These fish are very aggressive eaters, even try and bite the siphon tube and plants when I dropped them in. I have been feeding 8x a day, small portions each feeding. I change up there food as often as possible, mostly I feed home mixed b/h, sea food and garlic mixes and add white and red worms, pellets, frozen b/s,mystic shrimp, krill and b/w as needed. These guys are real active and friendly. I had some people over this past weekend and at one point about 8 people were in the fish room and these guys were doing there happy dance thinking each person was going to feed them. This is going to be a whole lot of fun raising these fish up, I could not be happier Here is a few pictures and a video. Video link at bottom (first time posting a video, hope it works)

My god Kenny, those fish are out of their minds in a feeding frenzy!! If you don't win with this strategy it would be a big upset.

Wow, I am impressed by your set-up, and obviously, the fish look great under your very able care! That's one nice big spacious tank for them to grow, and with 80% water change everyday, you're all set. You're going to be very hard to beat! best of luck to you! mike

    Kenny:

I like the video it really shows the fish off well. They are doing really good. Love the tank setup also, the backround complimentes their color also and shows just how nice these fish are.

    Keep up the good work.

The contrast between the background and natural color of these guys is beautiful. Really makes them pop. I totally agree! Thanks Larry

The tank allows me to spread the food out and lessen the bullies effect on the less aggressive ones. The set up is a trial run to see if i can control the location of waste and drain it without having to siphon the tank manually. I do siphon out left overs manually which is 2x a day, after work around 5 pm and before bed at 11:30pm. but the w/c's are incredibly fast. I plan on expanding the fish room soon and i think i will model this tank for my new set ups. Thank Mike
