Thread: Silver pigeon and Gold melon?

  1. #1

Default Silver pigeon and Gold melon?

Would these 2 have an ugly spawn? Seems my silver pigeon and Gold melon have paired up now! If so I may would try to move them to a 20g to breed.

I believe both a PB based, so they should be a good match, although I have no idea what the spawn would look like.

Well I moved the 2 and the female is already cleaning up a spot to lay. Maybe these will actually hatch and be pretty!

Gotta do some research now on how to raise babies just in case!

I think they'll be some cool looking fish but if you take the babies and then back cross them to the golden parent then half of those F2 babies will be really cool looking Golden fish. Also the golden gene when it's being expressed homozygous will remove any peppering from the pigeon gene so at the very least half of the F2 fish will be beautiful.
