    Default emperor 400 + canister?

Right now im useing an emperor 400 HOB filter with a little aireation system i have set up that fills the bio media tank with tons of little bubblies...so far it works quite well, water is stable. However my water is not as clear is i would like it to be, Its not really cloudy per-se (polutants) its just not crystal clear, could this be a bacteria problem? I was looking into getting a Magnum 350 with the paper filter to polish the water, good? bad? ugly? anyone have any luck with this?

Is your tank planted or barebottom? How long has it been running?

Its Planted, and has been running since may 18, with fish since june 12 and i just put discus in 3 days ago, amonia 0-.25 ppm, nitrites 0-.25 ppm, nitrates 10-15 ppm, i keep the PH at 6.4-6.6 and 85 F I do 35G out of 90G every other day. From your numbers, your nitrifying bacteria is building to handle the bioload (addition of more fish). Keep up with the numbers and be prepared to change water if they get high. You can probably get away with small water changes (25%) as to allow the bacteria to its job.

The water will become crystal clear once the tank/filter is more established.
