Still looking good. The paper cut-out is a great idea. No stress for the discus, and a great way to estimate size.
Chris
Week 12 and all 6 discus are doing well.
Like last week, the smaller of the group are catching up to the larger ones. Everyone gets their fair share of food.
All water parameters and food have remained the same.
This week I used an idea from Martha, mmorris, a paper cutout of a discus 4 1/2 " total length.
It is difficult to capture the true size of discus with a camera but with the cutout and sponge in back it's close.
Some of the discus are a little over 4 1/2 " some a little under. The most colored one is the smallest in the group.
Their growth has to slow because there is 9 more months of this competition.
Who knows maybe they will be starting a second generation by then.

The fish look great, Bill, and I love the cut-out! Go ahead, draw a 5" one. It'll seem so huge and then one day, you'll think to yourself, "I remember when that cutout seemed so big."
You're probably right Martha. That cutout is actually my scaled up avatar I created. I made a 5" one and as you know that extra 1/2" is quite a lot bigger. I'll put it up next week.
Thanks for the great idea.
Bill
Thanks Bob, we all got some pretty nice discus.
Thanks Eddie, been extra busy this last few days.
Take care man,
Bill
