    Default Eheim 2215 question

    hi all.. just like to ask, if it is possible to use a T-connector and split my inlet tube into 2, on my 2215 filter since i just a 35gal aquarium as i have read that the 2215 maximum is 90gal,

    Yes, it's possible. So you plan to have two drains and one return?

    yes, 2 drains to the canister and 1 return to the same aquarium. wouldnt there be any issue w/ regards to the sucking/siphoning of the canister head? i mean 1 will be sucking more water than the other? should the 2 hoses going into the drains be of the same length or it doesnt matter?

    Personally I would have the drain hose for the two returns be the same length for equal pressure. If we're talking that it's a short distance, it may not matter but I'd play it safe. Since they' re both going into the same canister, they can only fill as quickly as the return hose can empty back into the aquarium.

    Just as an added thought, you could always use a "T" joint and split your return as well for better circulation depending on the width of your aquarium.
