How exciting Eddie! It's about time you had some good luck. Fingers crossed that all goes well with them. What do you think that this cross will throw?
Chris
Thanks Ashay! I wish I could!
Hey Chandan, I am not experienced at all. Still learning every day. I've only kept discus off and on for a long time. I have never been able to sit back for several years to put forth the effort. Now that I am in Japan, I have a few more years here and I am also going to try and stay here another 4 years on top of that. This would give me >6 years to work on some breeding skills.
Take care guys!
Only one white egg today.......wonder what that means

Eddie,
a whole new chapter is starting for you now. I am very happy with your success with that beautiful pair. I want pictures of wigglers
Best of luck!
Kenny
Hey Chandan, I don't think Eddie waited, it is up to the fish ya know.....
Hope that is not sarcasm I'm sensing???

Thanks Chris, I am not really sure. These 2 different types have never been crossed. Might just be a mut fish. We'll see though. I am thinking something along the lines as turqs but its really hard to say, could be anything really. The Heckel cross is dominant I think but who knows.
Thanks Kenny! Unfortunately I won't be here for the wigglers. I am leaving the day after tomorrow so they are left to fend for themselves. I will be gone for 2 weeks. Not really sure what I will come back to.
LOL, its all good Mark. Thanks
Take care all,
Eddie
Finally Had to remove the female, she was trying to lay again and I said "F" it. Lets see what the male can do, so far so good. There isn't too many, maybe 30 or 40 left to hatch and about a dozen wrigglers.
Good Papa so far, he's mouthed the little suckers and put them back in their piles, cool as hell. He is pretty defensive too. If I get too close he'll rush me, so protective.
very cool Eddie! keep us updated bro

Don't think I mentioned it but that is a very nice pair Eddie. Very nice indeed and I would imagine the offspring would look really good. Hopefully these fish will be able to bring up the fry to the point you can begin raising them. Send me some! LOL
I'm still confused. LOL
Very nice Eddie! Looks like you might have a good set of parents there!
Best wishes!
