It's the most insidious kind of fraud: a fraud in which the culprits are lauded as public heroes. Judging from this cache of e-mails, they even manage to tell themselves that their manipulation of the data is intended to protect a bigger truth and prevent it from being "confused" by inconvenient facts and uncontrolled criticism.

The damage here goes far beyond the loss of a few billions of taxpayer dollars on bogus scientific research. The real cost of this fraud is the trillions of dollars of wealth that will be destroyed if a fraudulent theory is used to justify legislation that starves the global economy of its cheapest and most abundant sources of energy.

This is the scandal of the century. It needs to be thoroughly investigated-and the culprits need to be brought to justice."

I hope these "scientists" are fired and given long prison terms. The billions of dollars wasted on the phoney global warming scare is a crime to humanity. Shame on them!

I never did believe in the whole global warming thing. Climates fluctuate. While a glacier in one part of the world slowly shrinks another gets thicker. There are glaciers in Iceland that are thicker than they have ever been. Unfortunately there will always be a "crisis" to try to cause panic and take taxpayer's money. It's a diversion to keep people from doing something about the real problem...wasteful government spending.

The main stream media is ignoring the story hoping it will go away. It doesn't fit their agenda. They didn't want to report on the ACORN scandals either.

I believe that we should look after Earth to the best of our ability, however I also believe that dangerous climate change is a complete fraud.
Here in NZ they passed the ETS (Emissions Trading Scheme) last night in parliament which will potentially cost me personally in the $1000's a year. That is money I could really do with to keep my children fed, clothed and housed.
We have zero verifiable data to show that humans are responsible for any change in the climate at all and the most recent data in the southern Pacific Ocean shows that the ocean temp has actually dropped fractionally over the last 5 years.

It is a deliberately organized way to tax people for the air they breathe.

If it was in any way true then I could argue, probably more convincingly than the scaremongers, that a warmer temperature and more CO2 would actually be beneficial for our agricultural economy which relies on dairy and timber exports to survive. The problem is that no one is listening and no one will get sent to prison and no one will be prosecuted.

If and when the REAL data is presented to the public we will see the climate has been in a cooling trend for decades and will most likely continue
this trend for another 40 or 50 years.

Search YouTube for "Global Warming Swindle" - excellent documentary countering Algore's "inconvenient truth".

Also, in general, I agree we need to "be conscious" about not doing stupid stuff, but as far as cutting down trees, I'm a descendant of loggers. My grandfather cut thousands of trees down in the Pacific Northwest in his lifetime - and they always came back and planted more for future harvesting.

Then came the spotted owl, a "strain"/sub-sub-species of owl that shut logging down in forests planted 40 years earlier specifically for harvesting.

You don't see people picketing corn fields (that were planted, only to be harvested when that crop is ready).

Common sense tells me that when we eliminate trees that produce Oxygen we are putting a sentence on ourselves....

The whole "humans cause climate change/global warming by producing too much co2" is total nonsense. The only thing that can affect the climate on a global scale is the Sun. To think that we could possibly change the climate is completely egotistical imo. The reason climate change or global warming is being pushed so hard is to tax us to oblivion (for one of the basic life sustaining elements) and further enslave us. Also so Al Gore can get a Nobel peace price.
