Oh I agree, thats why I am an independent. I backed Bush during the time of war and do not like putting any sitting US president down, the world does that enough. Truth is, I haven't found a great candidate to vote for in a long while, best was probably Reagan. I don't pick a candidate by his party, but by his skills and ability.

Actually, I dont mind the talking heads that much because they often bring up some good points on both sides. Its not them that are lying so much as "putting their Spin" on everything, its the politicians that lie; both liberals and conservatives. People generally hate the political commentators because they hit close to home and talk negative about their beloved party. Democrats or Republicans are no different ..what amazes me is some people fight to the death on what side is better...Working/tax paying idiots do not matter in any shape or form in their eyes...We are all going to get screwed one way or another...The problem is we as a people will never come togehter as a whole to oppose the government and force those idiots to make changes that really matter...So lets just all keep working and paying taxes and keep complaining like we have been for eternity...Nothing is going to change until polititions have pay cuts and downsizing ......Sad but TRUE......

Well, in this particular case, their are sound reasons for the closed door discussions. The GOP, and a few democrats as well, have refused to offer any meaningful discussion, and have vowed to delay and block any health care reforms. These people have been paid handsomely by big insurance to do so. If they had the chance, they would go on TV and drag this out as long as possible. The president wants to get it over with and move on to other things. While I don't agree with the president on everything, at least he's trying accomplish things that will help the country in the long run, despite the nonsense of socialism and other garbage being hurled at him on a daily basis. I admire him for being able to carry on, and not stooping to the level of the liars, puppets, and name callers.

In a round about way, the government does not even run the country anymore, a handful of major corporations do by spending billions of dollars to get their agenda thru congress. Did you realize for example that Monsanto, the makers of "Roundup", control and have patents on about 98% of all commercial seed in this country? Farmers can and have been bankrupted because Monsanto owned varieties cross pollinated with another variety. They have detectives sample farmers crops, and make them sign contracts that they will only buy Monsanto seed, and will not seed save. If you are caught seed saving, you cannot buy seed, and they will tie you up in court until you face financial ruin, and quit. Ex-Monsanto lawyers also hold several top key positions in the Federal Government, including the Supreame Court, with Justice Clarence Thomas. They have people in the government helping them keep control of the agriculture industy. This is only one example, they are many others. Big corporations control our food supply, and almost everything else in our lives. They win, the people lose.

You answered your own dilema. Take away those crooked polititions and the big corporations will have look at the people for their profit margins,not some greedy politition doing his dirty work.. I do not trust either side/level of politics...Sad to say money caused more problems than anything..I do not have a Mac/debit card or accept direct deposit for my paycheck.I come to work in the physical presence and I want my pay in the physical presense of a paycheck in my hand..Get your pay direct deposited and use your debit card to do all your money transactions,eventually over time money will not exsist..Convenience is the selling point of it all..It will all be numbers,,then the forked tongue polititions will really own you...Slavery in the high tech era..
