Yes, there are some light coloured ones and darker (not sick ) ones too. There won't be any albinos in this batch, but when I breed the fry on I should get some then

I did notice a nice mix of fry in the bunch. I wonder what the dark ones (not sick) will be. Aren't red white fry generally white or very pale like albino?

I don't know Eddie, these are the first fry I've bred from a solid red parent, time will tell

I have one Albino Golden and as a young adullt I notice that the fish has a weak eye site - not blind but is often off target than not.
Point I am trying to make or rather understand is - how are the juvies on intermediate size - may be young to judge but did u notice anyting different. Because I know growing up I did not notice this behavior on the fish may it was something I overlooked.
Or is it that intermediates are just like any other non albino fish with recessive albiino that has not impact what so ever until they breed to generate few albino offspring.

Ashay, I have heard and read a few that reckon albinos have poor eyesight. I've had a few albinos over the years and have a few now, their eyesight seems no different to the others I have, including Asians, German and wild. Only thing with all of mine is that they can be feisty

Hi Eddie

Red/white are not a homogenous (pure) strain, they always throw a % of non white based fry in the babies. The snow white is the homozygous form that the red/whites are bred from, it is only when you breed a SW to SW....or a SW X anything that will will receive 100% white based fry. The crosses that are white based are heterozygous and cannot be purified, it is not in the genes to have that ability.

Those darker fry are the browns i was referring too in my earlier post. Please give me a break down on %'s of varieties when you can tell who is who, and i may be able to tell you more about your parent stock.

Wow, that should be some interesting looking browns. They'd be albino intermediates too, man....I can't wait to see the babies grow out!
