Not only is he a good man but what a handsome fellow too! I am imagining him spawning on one of my cones that I made today! Would he like "Peaches and Cream"? Good luck with the fry!
Barb
Thanks guys, so far so good. All the wrigglers have been moved to other side of cone as of this morning. Took these shots last night. Seems like the female is more chill on this spawn. The Blue Scorpion is very protective of them. I think his gonna be a good dad. Hopefully thats all the Albino Red Diamond female needed.........was a good man.
Take care,
Eddie

Thanks Barb, he is a looker. I'm sure he'd love to have a peaches and cream cone!

Glad to hear that all is well. The red eyes on that BS are incredible!

Thanks Chris, the eyes get so much more red when he is in his breeding colors. Even the picture makes them look less red than they really are. Hope these little buggers go free swimming tonight. Today was the first water change and all went well with that. Both fish are still watching the little swarms on the cone. Keep the fingers crossed.
Take care and hope you are having a great weekend!

Some still shots
Maybe if you feed the female a little she'll leave the fry alone? IDK, wonder what makes them eat their fry. Anyhow good swap, hope it all goes well!

Thanks Joan....actually the only time she didn't eat the fry was her very first time and she wasn't fed for 2 weeks, no water change, no bio-filter. Came home from vacation and wrigglers were going free swimming. Since then, can't get her to stop. She's doing good so far, mouthing the fry and putting them on dad or the glass.
Take care,
Eddie
Mom was removed, saw her lash at one and badly damaged it. No more chances for her. She is just gonna get pimped out to all the males.
Picture from tonight, all are well attached to Dad. Instead of counting sheep jumping over a fence, I'll count fry jumping over a dorsal.
Wow, what more could you ask for? A gorgeous fish who is also a wonderful Dad! Too bad about Mom though. Makes em and eats em! BTW how many fry at your home these days?
Barb
Lookng good Eddie! You're getting the breeding thing down! Well done!
