Here are recent so-so photos taken last week.
They are being fed Super B/H flake and my own Seafood B/H Mix.
This is the group picked up from Vlad.

    They look nice Ralph.
Starting to show some striations. They look to be about 3".
You are doing a great job raising them.

    Thanks for the nice comments.
They are coming along nicely and really like working with this group.
    I have 19 of them.
Joe, some are actually over 3" body alone.
I am going to start breaking the group up according to size so they feed equally.

Thumbs up Re: Red Turq -Alexander Piwowarski Strain

    Thanks Eddie,

Besides some young Blue Cobalts I got from Simply's own Moon that I stunted years back......this is my second attempt from young to adult stage with Discus. Been on this site for the last 2 months non stop. So my success will come from advise given by members of SD.

    Great Job Guys and Gals.

Thought I would share updated photos. Last photos were from post #31 last month. So there about 5+ months old now. Some have reached the 4" to 5" mark.
Well they still have much room to grow out.

Great job, 5+ months at 4-5" mark is pretty good, they got potential and yet they still show no sign on colouration, guess the best come last

Have fun raising them and keep us updated Ralph!

I was wondering about coloring also. Is this strain known to develope coloring late? I had a line of LSS's that didn't color up at all untill they were over 9mo old.

According to Vlad (discusaddicted), the colour do develope later, worth the wait imo as they got to be the best RT ever, yet!

I wouldn't mind having a dozen of them, considering how amazing their shape, eye size and many more is, but that is only if they are available in the UK

    Your spotted strains are amazing!

Ralph they look great. I understand from Vlad that colours come later. I am sure with your care they will turn out to be nice looking. I lost part of my group and a few remaining ones are stunted. I made the mistake of putting them in a tank with Stendker fire reds. The reds are very agressive during feeding. So the turqs got stunted. The striations are starting to show.

Thanks guys as they reached to this stage with your help......
And sorry to hear that Joe.
I have 19 of them with only a few of them following behind at 3"+
I have to say that I have religiously been feeding them at least 5x a day.
A great deal of thanks goes to Vlad and Antoaneta for giving them a great start from fry.
