Looking for used HANG on Back filters...

Hey gang I recently have gotten back into the hobby and I need a couple hang on filters for 55 gallon tanks.I am looking for heaters to.I did the fish store crawl today and I think I saw discus in one store and it was a real nice albino about 2 3/4 inches for 50.But I couldnot believe what they want for hang on filter and heaters and they werent even EBO-Jagers?So let me knowif any one want to sell I am in the market!

I just happen to be going through all of my fish stuff. These are the filters I have extra. Thought I would list the canister ones too, just in case.

HOB Filters

4 - Penguin 330 with bio wheels. $20 ea (all 4 for $70) includes some new cartridges
1 - Whisper 30-60, $15
1 - Topfin 60, $15
1 - Aqua-Tech 30-60, $15
1 - Topfin 10, $5 (with free cartridges)

Canister Filters

2 - Magnum 350 Canister filters (one impeller noisy but still works, the other fine) includes hoses, disconnects, intakes, outputs, 3 carbon containers, 2 filter sleeves, gravel vac, extra top, extra assorted o rings, 2 motors, everything for 2 filters plus extras! - $80

1 - Vortex Diatom Filter XL - complete filter system plus an almost full 5 lb box of diatom powder. - $70

1 - Vortex Diatom Filter D-1 - complete filter system plus some carbon powder (motor does run a bit warm). - $30

To be honest, Kensfish.com has some killer prices on Jagers and other heaters and super fast shipping too.

I just ordered three of them. The woman at Big Al's said they are cheap because they don't come with the ceramic media.

Eddie I checked out KENSFISH and I got to say your right way cheap!I am definetly getting some Jagers from them.I just wanted to get 1 hob filter for the 55 I am setting up.dont want to cheap.

That's true... mine came last week. You get the sponge filter and AC pouch.

I ordered two of these but then found out they won't fit on 75 gallon tanks. So I guess I now have a couple of spares for the 30 gallon tanks.

Sorry to hear that. They are great little filters and I have used them on my 75G. It's always good to have spares though, but if you want to get rid of them, I'd be glad to take them off your hands as well.

you could just cut some of the trimming on the plastic frame to fit the lengh of the filter. the part that sticks out from the framing for a hood to sit on.

i did this when i had my 150g running, worked great.
