Barbs Swirled Cones a Stroke of Genius Perhaps

I am wondering if perhaps Barb is onto more than just a cool looking Cone with her Swirled Cones.

Perhaps the Swirled Cones present a more natural looking spawning site to the Discus since in nature tree roots and limbs have patterns and lines often in them as well especially if the bark has came off as it often does when it is sticking down in water.
