    Default Bloat

Ok so I have been treating my fish for a external bacteria infection as I chatted with Mike Beals about it and that's what he determined my fish had.
Now however my largest 7" male looks to have bloat. His stomach is enlarged, and he can't stay straight he has been laying on the top of the water sideways all day and if not he sits on his tail.
How should I treat for the bloat?
I have been still treating the entire tank for the bacterial infection so I don't know if I need to pull him and treat him for the bloat separate or if I should discontinue the other treatment and treat the whole tank for bloat.

I'd remove the bloated fish and treat with Epsom salt. 2 tbsp per 10 gallons. Sounds like internal bacteria infection and you may not have time to fix the issue. Kanamycin would be the treatment. It will be hard to get it unless you go for the expensive Kanaplex but you may not have any other choice.

Metro is generally for flagellates, not this type of bacterial infection

I have now called all the stores that are around me and no one carries it. I doubt I have times to order it online in order to save the fish.
    Any other suggestions?

Well I found another post on here about bloat and it said maracyn 2 so I found some at petsmart and treated the 10g tank he is now in along with the salt. We'll see how it goes.
Do I need to treat the main tank as well?

Sounds good, not the main tank unless others have symptoms. It may just be the one fish.

Very sorry to hear about the loss. Its tough to bring a fish back when its laying sideways at water surface.
