some more pics...
Hi all,
I have always been a fan of the more classic Discus, so a while back I bought a bunch of 3" Red Turqs from Kenny to grow out for my Breeding Projects...These were "Forrest Red Turqs"... .. Some of Favorites in the Hatchery. They have been absolutely great... healthy from Day one and vibrant.... I'm really looking forward to breeding them some day soon...They have been sparring alot but not spawning yet....still young...I'd guess under a year.
Heres some pics....

Gorgeous group Al, love them!
All the best,
Eddie
Every once and a while you find something kind of unique in a group of fish...something that if you focused on it..you might be able to come up with a novel strain or pattern...I'm always looking for that. But haven't had much luck...However..I'm really hopeful with some of the things I am working with. One in particular is a red turq from this group.... It has a unique pattern....It has striations inside of striations... Check out this pattern and tell me what you think.I tried to bring out the pattern as best I could with some image enhancement.

Al that pattern is crazy! It looks sweet in the second picture. Work on it...I'd buy it

Gorgeous, Al. I've always loved the turqs and these are really nice - particularly the tie-dyed one.
Thats an amazing bunch.
've never seen Turqs with so intense red on them and striation is really unique !!!
U've done great job , feeding sp. foods ?
Best of luck with breeding Al !!
