    Default Flamingos

Couple new Flamingo shots, same as the mercuries...flash on top of the camera, very "real" and not as "perfect" as usual. Very nice shape and color to these.

Thanks. These are my first red discus surprisngly, really impressed with them. I find myself staring at them all the time wondering how they can be so red.

    Thanks!

The Flamingos started showing signs of pairing tonight, and they are around the 4-4.5" mark. I've seen the papilla and have determined I have at least 1 male and 1 female out of the 4. And tentativly guess I have another male and female by the coloration. Females tend to be more red or a fuller red. They are dancing in the same tank the ABDt's are dancing....its getting exciting in there.

Heres the female thats trying to lay eggs right now

Heres the male shes chosen (right) and the other supposed male sparring. I personally find the other male more attractive....funny how love works.

Here is the male (left) keeping the other female in line.

And a large headshot for good measure.

Thanks Eddie. All the other ones of them kissing and fighting turned out blurry. Theres a lot going on in this tank now between the flamingos and ABD throwbacks (pics in my other thread of them).

Wow! they are a lot redder than I thought. Very nice and very lucky, got 2 pairs out of 4. Did they come from Kenny? He used to have a lot of Flamingos, but not lately.

Good luck and beautiful picture, hope to see some frys soon.

Good shots Matt, that female is very nice, I like the red in it and the shape is good too.

The breeding "hormones" are flying around crazy in the tank haha, I agree with Eddie, the "kissing" shots are priceless.

    good luck,
