Thanks both of you. I'm expecting eggs on the cone very shortly from this pair...as in today sometime.
The Male was posing last night and the light was perfect. Who says Albinos are bland and they don't like them because they have no color?!

beautifull fish ...the coloring is stunning ....some of the albino throwbacks are as nice or nicer than the original ...allmost looks like ghosting flames on a car ..very nice ...good luck
Thanks, I really like this strain.

Those are beautiful fish. I would love to breed those. Also, the fact that you take the best quality photos on Simply doesnt hurt.

Oh, I don't know about that. There are some others on here that take great pics. Thanks though.
Thanks Kevin!
Happy to report, eggs are on the cone now. Male made passes....we'll see. I took the male out, he has no interest in the eggs after they are laid and he makes passes. He constantly beats up the female so she can't take care of them.

Beautiful fish and photo!
Thanks

Matt, I love the throw backs you have they look awesome!
Thanks, they are some of my favorites. Really nice strain for anyone looking for Albinos but not just the "plain" ones.

Great photography as Matt!
As for the eggs these are still relatively young fish I would let them try a few more times and if it still doesn't work out then if possible try to separate them and put one of them back in with the others to let him choose another male/female...sometimes compatibility plays a great role in successful breeding; in the past I've seen fish(males OR females) that didn't get along very well with their mates during the egg laying process, but when switched to other mates did a much better job and were then able to produce successful batches of frys. I guess in a way it's like us humans...
Here are some ABDt frys that were produced artificially by the exact same line of ABDt's, though the parents are a little older than yours. Hope this gives you a bit of encouragement Matt!

Thanks Kenny, I know they are still young....but Its always frustrating! LOL. I think my white butterfly male frustrates me more though, about to put them back in General Population to spice things up a bit. The ABD throwback posted a little earlier in this thread, the real orange one, is a female as well so I have her as an option too.

Wow, what an awesome pair! beautiful! Is it true that two of the ABD throwback together would give you a significant percentage of albino BD, aka platinums? I think those platinums are just so stunning! mike
Thanks Mike, yes thats what I am told by Kenny...2 ABD throwbacks will give a % of ABD fry.
