Well, going to Latvia for about 3 weeks, gotta miss the NADA show....sucks but nothing I can do about it except make the best of the trip. I've taught my parents how to care for my fish....hopefully I find them all alive and well when I get back. Talk to y'all soon hope the NADA show is a huge success! Drink a round for me!

Well i'm back. All in all a decent trip. Wish I had more freedom to get out and see the sights but what I saw was a very nice country. Decently friendly people (a lot of the older generations are still soviet blood and kind of stand offish).
Disappointed I missed the NADA show, but I guess being able to visit Germany, Latvia, and Iceland in a span of 2 weeks makes up for it.
By the way, don't swim in the Baltic Sea...its kinda cold.

Thanks all. LOL Chad, we called the stuff "Black Death", but it was really Riga Black Balsam. 90 proof stuff that literally makes part of your tounge and lips go numb when you drink it. Pretty strong stuff. lol Thats me on the left with the demon eyes.
Thanks Barb, its a very beautiful country. Especially the countryside. The terrain reminds me a lot of our Pacific Northwest. Very lush and moist, very green. My fish came out much better then I expected. I taught my parents how to care for them before I left, but you know how that goes. I had one death, a mercury I got from Eric. He was the smallest in the tank even before I left so it wasn't a disaster to come home to. Really thankful for that. The Flamingos were even laying eggs a day before I got home. So all in all, very good. Its water change today though, gotta get back on my routine.
Thanks a lot Jim. I wish I could of been there in Texas, looks like it was a great time. PM returned.
These were the best fries i've EVER had in my life. They were baked not fried, then sprinkled with a very nice seasoning. Maybe an oinon or garlic based seasoning....very very good. We kept ordering plates of them. A plate of fries like this cost around $1. Latvian currancy is almost twice the value of a US dollar though.
Taken from the bus on the way to the airport, a little overcast but very lush and green.
