Paul, those are some pretty nice looking wilds!! And the sterbais are pretty nice also. Will be following their journey in your tank, good idea. Although it does make one think about getting some more ...... discus.
Ok I've just got 6 new wild juvenile Canuma Blues from Paul Lucas in the UK. Picked them up on Sunday and needless to say they are now in a QT tank along with a couple of wild caught C. Sterbai. These fish were collected for Paul by Heiko Bleher and I must admit it was difficult only picking 6 out. Talk about a kid in a candy store!!
They have settled nicely and are feeding well on FBW and Granules, I have started to introduce BH to them and they are taking a little of that too. I drop in a few wafers for the cats too! I must admit I love the colours on the corys.
I though it would be interesting to share my journey on growing out these wilds, hopefully to a stage where I can breed from them. Once out of qt they will go into a 100gal tank with 2 other wilds discus, Xingu's, and the cory's. My wife has promised 2 more for Christmas, don't you just love some people
I will try and document everything that happens to these guys, the successes and the failures.
They are currently in water of 29C or 84f and a conductivity of 120 microsiemens, ph is around 7 but the probe is knackered in my meter so until the new one arrives I cannot be certain. It is my intention to keep them and grow them out in water in the range of 120ms.
So here are the new guys, hope you enjoy

Hey Paul:
We are all envious! I can't imagine having fish selected by Bleher. Those are really nice looking fish. I have always like the sterbai as well! Good luck with them.

Only think about getting some more??
Mike, I'm thrilled to bits by it being honest, it was hard work picking out 6, Paul and Ange were great though, actually truth be told, it was a heck of a lot of fun picking 6
I should have added their start lenghts, the smallest is 2 1/2" SL and the the largest is 3 3/4" SL.
